As a dedicated registered nurse, you will deliver ambulatory oncology nursing care services in line with the College of Nurses of Ontario standards. Your responsibilities include comprehensive health assessments, management of symptoms, patient and family education, and advocating for patient needs. Collaborate with an interprofessional team to ensure high-quality, evidence-based care throughout the cancer treatment process.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive health assessments for oncology patients
• Manage cancer symptoms and treatment side effects
• Provide support via telephone for ongoing patient care
• Facilitate patient education and coaching initiatives
• Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Requirements:
• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred
• Experience in oncology or acute care nursing
• Familiarity with ambulatory care and telepractice
• CPR certification required
