Registered Nurse in Oncology Care

Join the Odette Cancer Centre as a Registered Nurse, delivering essential nursing care for patients dealing with cancer. Support patients through both in-person consultations and telehealth initiatives.

In this critical nursing role, you will provide ambulatory oncology care, managing treatment side effects and offering compassionate support to patients and their families. You will work collaboratively within an interprofessional team to address the holistic needs of cancer patients, focusing on physical, emotional, and psychological well-being. Engaging in quality improvement and maintaining CNO standards are key components of the job.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess patient health and oncology needs thoroughly

• Manage and educate patients on treatment side effects

• Provide telephone support for patient navigation

• Establish supportive patient and family relationships

• Actively participate in professional development and quality initiatives

Requirements:

• Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario

• Preferred baccalaureate degree in nursing

• Experience in oncology or telehealth nursing

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Valid Basic CPR certification required
