Part Time Registered Nurse

Position: Part Time Registered Nurse at Extendicare
Join the dedicated team at Harold & Grace Baker Centre as a part time Registered Nurse. Provide essential nursing care while improving the health and wellness of residents in a long-term care setting.

This critical nursing role reports directly to the Director of Health and Wellness. You will maintain resident assessments, oversee medication administration, and coordinate care conferences with families. Additionally, you will supervise nursing students and manage health and safety programs within the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain thorough and updated resident care assessments

• Oversee medication ordering and its proper administration

• Plan care conferences, coordinating with family members

• Supervise nursing students while offering educational support

• Manage nursing health and safety programs effectively

Requirements:

• Valid RN registration in the province

• Experience in gerontology is beneficial

• Strong critical thinking and care coordination skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications

• Current VPS certification within six months
