Position: Registered Nurse for Veterans Care
Join K1W at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre as a Registered Nurse providing patient-centered care for veterans. Focus on complex medical needs, including dialysis and oncology therapies.
As a Registered Nurse, you will deliver holistic care to patients in transitional and complex medical situations. With a keen emphasis on ADLs and diverse medical needs, you will collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team adhering to the Patient-Focused Care philosophy.

Your role is crucial in achieving the best health outcomes for veterans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver total patient care including ADLs and medical needs

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team for patients

• Conduct thorough physical assessments and effective communication

• Implement Gentle Persuasive Approach or PEICES methodologies

• Manage airway procedures and central venous catheters
Requirements:

• Current Ontario Registration and B.C.L.S.

• Certifications in Dialysis and Oncology preferred

• Experience with Palliative care required

• Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills

• Function as a primary nurse in an interdisciplinary team
