Overview
Join K1W at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre as a Registered Nurse focused on complex medical and transitional care for veterans. Provide exceptional patient-centered care, especially for those with diverse medical needs. The successful candidate will take responsibility for holistic patient care, including personal care and medical needs. Experience with Dialysis, Dementia, Palliative, TBI, and Oncology patients is essential. You’ll work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, adhering to the Patient-Focused Care philosophy to achieve excellent health outcomes.
Responsibilities- Deliver total patient care, including ADLs and medical needs
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team for optimal care
- Conduct robust physical assessments and communicate effectively
- Implement Gentle Persuasive Approach or PEICES methodologies
- Manage airway procedures and central venous catheters
- Current Ontario Registration and B.C.L.S.
- Preferred certifications in Dialysis and Oncology
- Experience in Palliative care
- Robust conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
- Ability to function as a primary nurse in an interdisciplinary setting
