Oncology Nurse at Odette Cancer Centre

Provide compassionate oncology nursing care at the Odette Cancer Centre. This role encompasses clinical patient interactions and telephone support for cancer patients and their families.

The Odette Cancer Centre is seeking a Registered Nurse focused on ambulatory oncology care. You will be responsible for comprehensive health assessments, managing treatment side effects, and facilitating supportive patient relationships. This position requires collaboration with an interprofessional team to address the multifaceted needs of oncology patients and continuous quality improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive patient health assessments

• Manage cancer symptoms and treatment side effects

• Educate and coach patients and families effectively

• Facilitate continuity of care through navigation support

• Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives

Requirements:

• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario

• Preferred Baccalaureate degree in nursing

• Strong experience in oncology or acute care nursing

• Familiarity with ambulatory care and telepractice

• CPR certification required
