Become a pivotal part of patient recovery at Toronto General Hospital as a Registered Nurse in the PACU. This part-time position emphasizes collaboration and critical monitoring within a fast-paced, compassionate care setting. As a Registered Nurse within UHN’s PACU, you will play a vital role in post-anesthetic recovery.
Collaborating in a multi-disciplinary team, you will support patients after various surgical procedures, ensuring their transition through high acuity recovery. Your skills will help cultivate a cohesive setting focused on exemplary patient care for approximately 7,500 patients annually.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor post-operative patients utilizing invasive techniques
- Provide collaborative support in recovery phases
- Administer care based on UHN's nursing standards
- Enhance patient experience through effective communication
Engage in continuous education and skill development
- Current College of Nurses of Ontario registration
- Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification
- Minimum two (2) years experience in Critical Care
- Completion of a Critical Care Certificate program mandatory
- Preferred experience in tertiary care institutions
