PACU Registered Nurse at Sunnybrook

Provide exceptional post-operative care as a PACU Registered Nurse at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. Engage in patient advocacy and collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.

As a PACU RN, you will directly care for post-operative patients, including managing phase 1 and 2 recovery processes. This role requires a commitment to person-centred care while adhering to organizational values. You will utilize critical thinking skills in a dynamic environment, ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and manage care for post-operative patients

• Educate patients and families about recovery processes

• Advocate for patients’ needs throughout recovery

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal care

• Support quality improvement projects and nursing initiatives

Requirements:

• Current Ontario Registration with College of Nurses

• Minimum 2 years of recent post-surgical care experience

• Recent Critical Care and PACU experience

• IV Certification and venipuncture skills

• Flexibility to work in various environments
