Join the Toronto Centre for Liver Disease at Toronto General Hospital as a Registered Nurse, providing specialized care in a permanent full-time role. Deliver patient-centered care and manage complex liver conditions in a dynamic clinic environment.
The Registered Nurse will be part of the interprofessional care team, focusing on patients with acute and chronic liver issues like hepatitis B and
C. Responsibilities include valuable patient education, clinical assessments, and operation management in a high-volume setting. This pivotal role ensures optimal outcomes while collaborating with physicians and the clinical team to enhance patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver direct nursing care to liver disease patients
• Conduct procedural skills including venipuncture and paracentesis
• Monitor patient status pre- and post-procedures
• Collaborate with the interprofessional care team
• Provide education on treatment plans and self-management
Requirements:
• Certificate of Competence from CNO
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• Recent experience in hepatology or ambulatory care
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills
