Registered Nurse - Long Term Care | Casual Summer Agency Contract | Greater Toronto Area

Wage - $51/ HR

We are seeking dedicated Registered Nurses to join our team in long-term care facilities across the GTA this summer!

Provide compassionate resident care, administer medications, monitor health conditions, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the highest quality of care.

This is a great opportunity for Registered Nurses looking to gain experience in geriatric care while enjoying flexible scheduling and competitive compensation!

Agency Contract Through Hero Care

Hero Care has a proven track record in providing our contract/travel nurses with a variety of exciting, positive and unique working experiences. Our team is now expanding our staffing services to provide contracts to Registered Nurses across Canada!

Qualifications Necessary
  • Registered Nursing License in good standing with the Provincial College of Nurses
  • Current BCLS
Skills & Ability
  • Patient care
  • Head to toe assessment
  • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
  • Patient/family education and instruction
Basic Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and monitor the patient’s progress.
  • Identify sudden or subtle changes in a resident’s medical condition.
  • Deliver regular updates to doctors, patients, and their family members.
  • If necessary, respond to a medical emergency and alert the appropriate doctors.
  • Maintain resident records.
  • Create and implement effective care plans.
Specific Duties
  • Responsible for maintaining care standards
  • Perform diagnostic tests
  • Communicate with doctors and residents to keep everyone updated on test results and treatment recommendations
  • Monitoring resident care

Must comply with:

  • Human Resource, Corporation, and Department Policies
  • Must provide satisfactory vulnerable sector check
  • Must maintain Registered Nurse class license with the Provincial College of Nurses
