Support patients in the Gynecological Procedure Clinic as a Registered Practical Nurse at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. This role emphasizes patient education, assessment, and collaboration in non-invasive procedures.
As a Registered Practical Nurse, you will provide essential care for patients undergoing hysteroscopy, chorionic villus sampling, and other related treatments. Your training must align with current Ontario regulations, including BCLS certification and an Operating Room certificate, while offering advocacy and support during procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver patient assessments for gynecological procedures
• Assist with non-invasive surgical interventions
• Educate patients on care processes and recovery
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Uphold Sunnybrook’s principles of Person-Centred Care
Requirements:
• Must hold Ontario Registration with the College of Nurses
• Current BCLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Recent Operating Room experience necessary
• Strong communication and decision-making skills
