In this crucial role, the Registered Practical Nurse will offer specialized nursing care and work closely with other medical staff to implement effective care strategies. Your experience in long-term care will be vital as you guide Personal Support Workers and ensure compliance with healthcare standards. Maintain robust communication with physicians to address changes in resident health promptly.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care aligned with Age Care policies
• Coordinate with physicians regarding resident conditions
• Support Personal Support Workers with care tasks
• Engage in shift reporting and assessments
• Assist in revising procedures for best practices
Requirements:
• Current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Background in rehabilitation or long-term care
• Familiarity with relevant health care regulations
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Geriatric care expertise is preferred
