Position: Registered Practical Nurse for Palliative Care

This position requires adherence to the Standards of Nursing Practice set by the College of Nurses of Ontario while managing patient care across various settings in the hospital. Prior experience with IV insertions, ventilated patients, and dementia care is highly valued. Candidates should demonstrate strong assessments, organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement basic nursing care practices for chronic patients

• Support palliative care and symptom management

• Manage feeding and oxygen administration for patients

• Contribute to team discussions and care strategies

• Maintain compliance with safety and health regulations
Requirements:

• Current RPN diploma and certificate from Ontario

• Required BLS certification; further training preferred

• Proven experience in long-term or palliative care

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Maintain good attendance and work history
