Unit 5C in the Brain and Mental Health Program offers world‑renowned, family‑centred care for patients in need of inpatient treatment under the Division of Neurosurgery, Neurology, or Trauma.
Our comprehensive orientation, preceptorship experience, and continuous educational opportunities help support the delivery of high‑quality patient and family‑centred care. The Sick Kids Division of Neurosurgery is the oldest and largest in Canada, and one of the premier divisions in the world. - Work in collaboration with the child/family and the interdisciplinary health care team
- Maintain clinical competence and knowledge base through continued education and life‑long learning
- Utilise evidence‑based practice as a base in the promotion of professional accountability
- Provide safe, competent and ethical nursing care
- Graduate of an approved Baccalaureate Nursing Program
- Active General Class RN Licence through the College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing
- Possess 1+ years of clinical nursing experience in an RN capacity
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to use your critical thinking, problem‑solving and teamwork abilities
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the principles of equity, diversity and inclusivity
- Graduate of an approved Baccalaureate Nursing Program
- Active General Class RN Licence through the College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing
- Possess 1+ years of clinical nursing experience in an RN capacity
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to use your critical thinking, problem‑solving and teamwork abilities
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the principles of equity, diversity and inclusivity
- Previous work experience in paediatrics or experience working with children is strongly preferred
- Recent and related acute care nursing experience is strongly preferred
- Previous neurology experience
