Position: Registered Nurse - Cardiac Critical Care Unit (CCCU)

The Hospital for Sick Children (Sick Kids) is one of the world’s largest and most respected paediatric healthcare centres. We are seeking Registered Nurses for the Cardiac Critical Care Unit (CCCU) to assess nursing needs and provide high‑quality care to children and families experiencing serious illnesses and treatments.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a nursing plan of care
  • Collaborate with the child/family and the interdisciplinary health care team
  • Maintain clinical competence and knowledge through continued education and life‑long learning
  • Utilize evidence‑based practice as a base in the promotion of professional accountability
  • Provide safe, competent, and ethical nursing care
Essential Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved Baccalaureate Nursing Program (BScN)
  • Current registration as an RN with the College of Nurses of Ontario (General Class License) in good standing
  • Possess at least 1 year of clinical nursing experience in an RN capacity
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to use critical thinking, problem‑solving, and teamwork abilities
  • Commitment to the principles of equity, diversity, and inclusivity
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous work experience in paediatrics or with children is strongly preferred
  • Recent clinical placement or externship in Critical Care and/or Cardiology is strongly preferred
