The APN is a key member of the healthcare team, reporting to the Operations Director and utilizing extensive nursing knowledge, decision-making skills, and clinical competencies. You'll collaborate with program leaders to support new nurse recruitment, develop educational initiatives, and implement best practices. Your involvement will influence the quality of care provided and the integration of innovative practices into daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and support best clinical practices
• Assist in staff orientation and performance management
• Lead initiatives focusing on person-centered care
• Address educational needs for both staff and patients
• Participate in continuous quality improvement efforts
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s in Nursing;
Master’s degree desired
• At least five years of recent acute care experience
• Current certification from the College of Nurses of ON
• Demonstrated leadership, teaching, and mentoring skills
• Strong communication skills in written and verbal formats
