Position: Registered Nurse - Unit 6AB: Multi-Organ Transplant & Medical Specialties

Registered Nurses needed to join Unit 6AB (Multi‑Organ Transplant and Medical Specialties) on a full‑time basis including NRG component of FTE. The role involves providing family‑centered nursing care to children across the continuum of care.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a nursing plan of care.
  • Work in collaboration with the child/family and the interdisciplinary health care team.
  • Maintain clinical competence and knowledge base through continued education and life‑long learning.
  • Utilize evidence‑based practice as a basis in the promotion of professional accountability.
  • Provide safe, competent and ethical nursing care.
Essential Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved Baccalaureate Nursing Program.
  • Active General Class RN License through the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Possess 1+ years of clinical nursing experience in an RN capacity.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to use critical thinking, problem‑solving and teamwork abilities.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the principles of equity, diversity and inclusivity.
Preferred Qualifications / Assets
  • Recent and related acute care nursing experience.
  • Previous work experience in paediatrics or experience working with children.
