UHN, the world’s leading publicly funded hospital, is hiring a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Geriatric Emergency Medicine. With a strong emphasis on advanced practice nursing, candidates should possess a master’s degree and five years of acute care experience.
Your role will include high-level clinical decision-making, coaching staff, and driving best practices in geriatric care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform detailed gerontological assessments using clinical tools
• Support staff development and advanced clinical skills
• Manage quality improvement initiatives and administrative duties
• Participate in research and education for nursing professionals
• Consult within the professional community and healthcare agencies
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in nursing or recognized equivalent
• Gerontology specialty certificate preferred
• Five years experience in acute care settings
• Proficiency in nursing research methods
• Registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario
