This position at the Wilson site offers a unique opportunity to work in geriatric care, utilizing your RN registration. In addition to providing general medicine care, you will be involved in care planning and coordinating with a multidisciplinary team. Mentoring new hires and participating in hospital committees are also key parts of this dynamic role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide care to general medicine and geriatric inpatients
• Coordinate care planning with team members
• Utilize computerized systems for patient care documentation
• Participate in project teams and hospital committees
• Mentor new hires and pre-grad nursing students
Requirements:
• Current RN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• BCLS certification is required
• 2 years of recent medical/surgical experience
• Strong critical thinking and organizational skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Engage in meaningful patient interactions and leadership while working at Humber River Health in the Acute Care for the Elderly unit.
