Make an impact at CAMH as a Mental Health Registered Nurse specializing in psychiatric care for adults experiencing acute challenges. Deliver comprehensive support and participate in enriching group activities within a 25-bed unit.
In your role at the CCC-7 unit, you will apply your nursing skills in holistic client care, crisis management, and trauma-responsive practices. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, provide mentorship to students, and engage in reflective practices that enhance service delivery. Flexibility in scheduling is key as you navigate various shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver holistic psychiatric nursing care to diverse clients
• Conduct thorough assessments of mental health and substance use
• Contribute to program development and mentoring
• Facilitate engaging group programming on the unit
• Complete necessary documentation in a timely manner
Requirements:
• Registered in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• B.C.L.S. (CPR) certification is required
• Preference for candidates pursuing or holding BSCN
• Experience with mental illness and addiction is preferred
• Strong organizational and computer skills required
