Take the next step in your nursing career as a Registered Nurse in the NICU at Sunnybrook, where you will provide care for critically ill newborns. This position emphasizes parent education and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Reporting to the Patient Care Manager, you'll follow the guidelines set by the National Association of Neonatal Nurses. You'll be responsible for nursing assessments, planning, and executing appropriate care plans while guiding parents through their journey in the NICU.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver developmentally appropriate nursing care to neonates
• Educate parents on infant care and breastfeeding techniques
• Collaborate with healthcare providers for effective patient treatment
• Evaluate and document patient care outcomes
• Support Sunnybrook's mission in patient care practices
Requirements:
• Must be registered with the Ontario College of Nurses
• Required NICU Level II or III experience
• Commitment to continuous professional development
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification required
• Proven communication and teamwork capabilities
