Advance your nursing career with Humber River Health as a Registered Nurse in the Post Anesthetic Care Unit. This full-time role focuses on patient recovery after surgery, with opportunities for professional growth.
As a Registered Nurse in the PACU, you will provide critical patient care during the immediate recovery phase post-operatively. The role requires advanced pain and airway management, particularly for ventilated patients, utilizing computerized documentation systems for accuracy. This position involves a commitment to inclusivity and equity in healthcare delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage care of patients in immediate postoperative recovery
• Perform advanced airway and pain management tailored to patient needs
• Provide care to ventilated patients and those recovering from anesthesia
• Utilize computerized systems for accurate patient care documentation
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team under the PACU Manager
Requirements:
• Registered Nurse registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• 1 year of Critical Care or Emergency nursing experience
• 2 years of acute surgical experience required
• Critical thinking skills and excellent organizational abilities
• PACU certification to be obtained within 6 months
