Position: Practical Nurse for Hemodialysis Care
Take on a vital role as a Practical Nurse specializing in Hemodialysis. Contribute to high-quality patient care through skilled service in a collaborative environment.

In this position, you will oversee hemodialysis treatment from start to finish for in-centre patients. Your duties will include completing patient assessments and delivering health teaching while ensuring the effective operation of hemodialysis machines. You will also work closely with RNs in responding to patient needs and implementing quality enhancement projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Initiate, monitor, and discontinue hemodialysis treatments

• Perform detailed patient assessments and health education

• Set up and troubleshoot hemodialysis machines efficiently

• Work collaboratively with RNs for optimized patient care

• Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives

Requirements:

• Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario

• Minimum 1 year of hemodialysis experience required

• 2 years of acute care experience preferred

• Completion of advanced nephrology training within a year

• Strong conflict resolution and communication skills
