Elevate your nursing career at Toronto General Hospital as a Registered Nurse in the Liver Program. This permanent full-time position offers the chance to deliver specialized care to patients with chronic liver conditions.
In this role, you will work within the Toronto Centre for Liver Disease, aiding patients facing challenges such as hepatitis and fatty liver disease. You will provide direct care, perform essential procedures, and collaborate within an interprofessional team to ensure coordinated treatment plans. Your involvement will drive positive patient outcomes through effective education and support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver patient-centered nursing care in a fast-paced clinic
• Conduct technical nursing procedures like paracentesis
• Monitor and assess patient well-being before/after procedures
• Provide education on nutrition and self-care techniques
• Maintain timely and accurate patient records
Requirements:
• Active Certificate of Competence from CNO
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
• Preferred Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• Strong clinical and decision-making skills
• Experience with Epic electronic health records preferred
