Sunnybrook Health Nurse - Post-Operative Care

Provide essential care as a Registered Nurse in post-operative recovery at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. Your skills in assessment, critical thinking, and patient advocacy are vital for our patients’ journey.

The position calls for an experienced Registered Nurse focused on phase 2 recovery for post-operative patients. Strong assessment and communication skills are necessary to navigate this challenging environment. You will actively contribute to person-centered care while working alongside a multi-disciplinary team dedicated to patient recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and monitor post-operative patients’ conditions

• Implement evidence-based nursing interventions

• Educate patients on recovery and health management

• Build team collaboration through effective communication

• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols

Requirements:

• Active Ontario Registration with the College of Nurses

• Proven experience in post-surgical care needed

• Required venipuncture and IV certification

• Commitment to ongoing education in nursing practice

• Preferred experience in oncology nursing
