In this pivotal position, the RPN Unit Manager at Sienna Senior Living will lead the nursing team, ensuring high standards of care and compliance with regulations. You will be instrumental in recruiting qualified team members, guiding their development, and fostering communication with residents’ families. Regular monitoring and evaluation of team performance will be crucial to maintaining quality care and identifying areas for improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage recruitment, orientation, and performance processes
• Provide direction for assessments and documentation
• Evaluate team performance and deliver coaching
• Analyze nursing practice trends for staff education
• Communicate effectively with families regarding care changes
Requirements:
• Hold Certificate of Competence from College of Nurses of Ontario
• Diploma in Practical Nursing from an accredited institution
• Minimum two years in Long Term Care setting
• Knowledge of Gerontological Nursing principles
• Must pass Vulnerable Sector Check
