Registered Nurse in Surgical Services at Sunnybrook

Provide exceptional post-operative care as a Registered Nurse in Surgical Services at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. This temporary part-time position involves caring for patients in the phase 2 recovery unit.

As an RN, you will be responsible for assessments, interventions, education, and advocacy, adhering strictly to nursing standards and person-centered philosophy. Your significant recent experience in post-surgical care and required certifications will be essential for patient outcomes and team collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and implement interventions for post-operative patients

• Provide education and advocate for patient needs

• Monitor and manage arterial lines and ECG readings

• Collaborate with team for enhanced patient care

Requirements:

• Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario

• Significant recent post-surgical care experience

• Completion of Acute Care Nursing or High Acuity Care course

• Experience in ECG and arterial line monitoring

• Ability to adapt across peri-anesthesia areas
