Join Planned Parenthood Toronto as a Nurse Practitioner focusing on comprehensive primary health care in a 20-month parental leave role. This full-time opportunity emphasizes sexual and reproductive health and provides a chance to work closely with an interdisciplinary team.
As an RN(EC) employed at our Downtown and North York sites, you will independently provide essential health services while promoting health education and disease prevention among youth. Ideal candidates bring at least three years of community health experience and a commitment to equity.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver health care through various modalities
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary health team
• Provide health education and crisis intervention
• Manage follow-up care and referrals
• Conduct HIV testing with appropriate counseling
Requirements:
• BScN or equivalent and RN(EC) status
• At least 3 years’ experience in a community setting
• Expertise in physical assessments
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records
• Support diverse sexual and gender identities
