Critical Care Nurse

Position: Critical Care Nurse at Sunnybrook
Elevate patient care with your nursing expertise at Sunnybrook by joining the Critical Care Nursing Resource Team. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide exemplary care to critically ill patients.

As a Registered Nurse in the Critical Care Nursing Resource Team, you will report to the Patient Care Manager and support patients in level II and III ICUs. This role also includes deploying to the Emergency Department to cater to various patient needs. Your responsibilities will encompass assessment, intervention, education, and patient advocacy in alignment with Patient-Centred Care principles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess critically ill patients for appropriate interventions

• Educate patients and families about health conditions

• Advocate for patient needs within the healthcare team

• Deploy flexibly across ICUs and Emergency Department

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for excellent care

Requirements:

• Registration with the Ontario College of Nurses

• Current BCLS and preferred ACLS certification

• Critical Care Certificate or relevant experience

• Commitment to continuing education in critical care

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
