Experienced Nurse Practitioner at UHN

Elevate your nursing career at University Health Network as a Nurse Practitioner in the Krembil Brain Institute. This permanent full-time role focuses on caring for complex neurosurgical patients in a supportive environment.

As an experienced Nurse Practitioner, you’ll play a critical role in our inpatient neurosurgical and spine units. You will exercise a high level of autonomy while providing leadership and fostering knowledge development within the nursing staff. This position requires advanced clinical competence in managing neurosurgical and spinal conditions, as well as participation in quality improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and treat complex patient responses effectively

• Collect and interpret patient health data thoroughly

• Lead quality improvement and administrative initiatives

• Participate in policy development and research

• Coordinate nursing education and professional development activities

Requirements:

• Master’s Degree in Nursing required

• 3-5 years’ experience in acute care nursing

• Current Certificate of Competence with College of Nurses of Ontario

• CNA certification in Neuroscience Nursing preferred

• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
