Position: Cognitive Neurology Nurse Practitioner Role
Enhance patient care quality as a Nurse Practitioner specializing in cognitive neurology. Focus on assessment, management, and treatment of cognitive disorders in an advanced practice setting.

This role is designed for a Nurse Practitioner dedicated to improving patient outcomes through direct care, research, and policy development. You will assess and manage cognitive disorders, including dementia and Alzheimer’s disease, while collaborating with an interprofessional team. Your expertise will be vital in monitoring disease progression and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive cognitive assessments like MMSE and MOCA

• Manage treatment plans for patients with cognitive disorders

• Collaborate with neurologists and team members for patient care

• Monitor disease progression and adjust therapies accordingly

• Mentor and guide other healthcare staff in best practices

Requirements:

• Master’s degree with RN-EC certification from Ontario

• Three years as a Nurse Practitioner, preferably in cognitive neurology

• Expertise in behavior management of dementia patients

• Current B.C.L.S. certification

• Effective collaboration and leadership skills
