Join Casey House as a part time Registered Nurse, providing holistic care in a supportive and inclusive workplace. Leverage your nursing skills to serve patients living with and at risk of HIV. In this casual role, you will work within an inpatient team, engaging directly with clients in their journeys to health.
Your focus will be on bedside nursing, applying harm reduction and trauma-informed care strategies. Collaborate with a committed interprofessional team to deliver comprehensive nursing services to patients with complex medical and psychological needs.
Key Responsibilities- Build meaningful nurse-client relationships using a harm reduction framework
- Participate in quality improvement and infection prevention initiatives
- Provide comprehensive nursing care and develop care plans
- Collaborate daily with an interprofessional healthcare team
- Promote health education and harm reduction strategies
- Actively registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Minimum 2 years of general nursing experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required
- Current Basic Life Support certification
- Clinical experience in acute or HIV care is an asset
