As a key nursing member at Age Care, you will implement policies in long-term care and supervise Registered Practical Nurses and Support Workers. Your expertise in geriatric nursing will guide you as you liaise with physicians and contribute to the improvement of care procedures. This role is integral to ensuring residents receive optimal care and support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide professional nursing care to residents
• Supervise nursing staff including RPNs and PSWs
• Liaise with healthcare professionals on resident status
• Coordinate services and document changes in care
• Administer medications as per established procedures
Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Registration with provincial nursing registry
• Knowledge of long-term care regulations
• Experience in geriatric or rehabilitation nursing
• Strong communication and leadership skills
