Family Birthing Center Registered Nurse

The Registered Nurse at Michael Garron Hospital is responsible for assessing patients in the Family Birthing Center and applying critical nursing skills. You will collaborate with a dedicated patient care team to ensure evidence-based nursing practices are implemented. This position requires a strong focus on family-centered care, a commitment to ongoing education, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess all patients entering the Family Birthing Centre
• Utilize nursing process and leadership to provide care
• Collaborate with the patient care team for quality outcomes
• Educate clients and families on informed choices
• Maintain adherence to hospital policies and procedures
Requirements:
• Current RN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• 1 year full-time labor and birth experience
• Neonatal Resuscitation certification required
• Breastfeeding certificate must be obtained within 6 months
• BCLS and fetal monitoring certifications required
