This temporary full-time role is within Humber River Health's Mental Health and Addictions Program. You will utilize your nursing skills for assessment, crisis intervention, and individualized patient care. Working collaboratively with a dedicated team, this position ensures effective delivery while fostering a supportive community environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and treat mental health patients in acute phases
• Implement primary care nursing models effectively
• Conduct crisis interventions and mental status examinations
• Lead therapeutic group activities and individual counseling
• Provide support to team members and patients across various units
Requirements:
• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Minimum 2 years recent experience in mental health nursing
• BCLS/CPR certification required
• Certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing preferred
• Strong skills in psychiatric assessment and crisis intervention
