The Village of Humber Heights has an exciting opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner to join their team.
The salary for this position starts at $113,683, and starting salary increases, commensurate with years of NP experience, to a max starting salary of $131,376 for those with 8+ years of NP experience.

- Hold a current registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Have experience completing comprehensive geriatric assessments
- Hold a current Heart Save Level of CPR
- Maintain a Current AIS Certification
- Experience leading, coaching and mentoring care professionals in a healthcare setting
- Display a caring and respectful attitude toward our residents, families, and team members
- Understand the physical, mental, and emotional demands of the role
- Knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, legislation and regulations applicable to the long-term care sector, including the Long-Term Care Homes Act, 2007 and Health & Safety

NPs are focused on quality resident care and act as an educator and clinician in developing a multi-disciplinary Village team. The Nurse Practitioner will provide a focus on clinical quality improvement outcomes, working with and supporting the inter-disciplinary teams in working towards targets in improvement.
The Nurse Practitioner will provide support and guidance in completing assessments, ordering, interpreting, and communication diagnostic testing and procedures, provide support for and lead resident centered palliative care services, and participate in the clinical review of Village quality initiatives.
