Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver psychiatric nursing care in the Psychiatric Emergency Zone
• Conduct risk assessments and stabilization for patients in crisis
• Collaborate with healthcare team members on care pathways
• Consult in the Emergency Department for mental health issues
• Participate in ongoing education to enhance nursing practice
Requirements:
• Current RN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• BScN and BLS Certification required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in mental health
• Knowledge of Mental Health Act and therapeutic techniques
• Excellent communication and crisis intervention skills
