This role requires a current Registered Practical Nurse registration in Ontario and a diploma. Key responsibilities include conducting risk assessments, applying de-escalation techniques, and integrating evidence-based practices. The RPN will work with adolescents and adults, enhancing their skills in physical assessment and critical thinking while committing to professional development and reflective practice.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct ongoing risk assessments for self-harm behaviors
• Apply de-escalation techniques to support patients
• Perform physical assessments on patients
• Commit to quality improvement initiatives
• Engage in ongoing professional development activities
Requirements:
• Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• RPN diploma and current B.C.L.S. Certificate
• Certification in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention
• Experience with psychiatric populations and high-risk behaviors
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
Utilize your RPN expertise to provide compassionate care and support to diverse mental health patients.
