This permanent full-time position at UHN requires a Registered Nurse with experience in inpatient psychiatric settings. You will conduct mental status assessments, implement treatment strategies, and co-facilitate therapeutic groups. The role demands excellent interpersonal skills, effective communication, and an understanding of ECT procedures alongside psychiatric care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop therapeutic alliances and collaborate on treatment plans

• Manage patients showing complex behaviors effectively

• Conduct mental status assessments and peer consultations

• Administer psychotropic medications and monitor effects

• Provide family support and co-facilitate interdisciplinary groups

Requirements:

• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred

• Two years of inpatient psychiatric experience required

• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification

• Emerging leadership abilities
