Make a difference as a Nurse Practitioner at Parkdale Queen West Community Health Centre, providing essential health services to underserved communities in Toronto. Focus on holistic care and address health barriers.
In this role, the Nurse Practitioner will report directly to the Manager of Clinical and Allied Health, caring for a diverse population including those experiencing opioid use and homelessness. You will provide support in both clinic and outreach settings while supervising health care students and engaging in collaborative strategies to improve patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver holistic care to a diverse client roster
• Provide services to clients in outreach and clinic settings
• Supervise students and foster clinical learning experiences
• Collaborate with health promotion and mental health teams
• Engage in research and program enhancement activities
Requirements:
• Registration as an RN (EC) with 3-5 years of experience
• Background in mental health and harm reduction
• Superior communication and problem-solving abilities
• Experience with vulnerable populations and anti-oppression frameworks
• Police check and COVID vaccinations upon hire
