Registered Practical Nurse Western

Provide critical care as a Registered Practical Nurse at Toronto Western’s Emergency Department. Contribute to patient well-being through advanced care and adherence to UHN standards.

In this role, you will work in the Rapid Assessment Zone, assisting lower acuity patients ready for discharge. You'll apply critical thinking and collaborate with Registered Nurses to deliver exemplary care. Commitment to lifelong learning, reflective practices, and adherence to professional standards is essential for success in this dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver exemplary patient care within scope of practice

• Identify abnormal responses and consult with team members

• Collaborate closely with RNs for complex patient care

• Ensure compliance with ethical and professional standards

• Engage in lifelong learning and reflective practice

Requirements:

• Completion of approved RPN program with practicum

• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario

• Valid B.C.L.S. certification and medication certificate

• Minimum 1 year of experience in adult acute care

• Excellent communication and multitasking skills
