Hemodialysis Registered Practical Nurse Position

Join a dedicated inter-professional team as a Registered Practical Nurse specializing in hemodialysis. Provide exceptional patient-focused care through initiation, monitoring, and discontinuation of treatments in Ontario.

We are seeking an RPN with current registration in good standing and one year of hemodialysis experience. This role involves conducting patient assessments, family counselling, and troubleshooting hemodialysis machines while responding to rapid patient changes. Collaborate with RNs to ensure quality care in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Initiate, monitor, and discontinue hemodialysis treatments

• Complete comprehensive patient assessments and health teaching

• Operate and troubleshoot hemodialysis equipment effectively

• Engage in quality improvement and research project teams

• Maintain documentation to ensure compliance with safety policies

Requirements:

• Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario

• Current B.C.L.S. Certificate

• 1 year of hemodialysis experience required

• Preferred 2 years in acute care settings

• Willingness to complete advanced nephrology training
