Registered Practical Nurse Specialized Dementia

Elevate dementia care at the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute as a Registered Practical Nurse in the Specialized Dementia Unit. Deliver expert care and manage behavioral symptoms for quality patient outcomes.

This permanent part-time role offers an opportunity for RPNs experienced in moderate to advanced dementia. You will manage nursing care and collaborate within an interdisciplinary team to enhance patient quality of life. Mentoring RPN students and new staff is also a key aspect of this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and evaluate patient care within RPN scope

• Collaborate in inter-professional team care planning

• Mentor RPN students and new staff members

• Ensure compliance with patient safety standards

• Participate in professional development initiatives

Requirements:

• Member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario

• RPN diploma from a recognized nursing program

• 2–5 years experience in advanced dementia care

• Completion of Basic Cardiac Life Support (C level)

• Strong health assessment and leadership skills
