Emergency Department Manager

A growing Critical Access Hospital is seeking an experienced ED Manager to lead a collaborative nursing team and oversee the daily operations of a busy Emergency Department. This role offers the opportunity to partner closely with nursing and executive leadership while driving quality patient care, operational excellence, and staff engagement.

Position Highlights

  • Lead a busy Emergency Department currently expanding its facility
  • Oversee approximately 40 FTEs, including ED nursing staff, technicians, and House Supervisors
  • Partner closely with nursing and executive leadership to support operational excellence and quality outcomes
  • Play a key role in department expansion, process improvement, and future program development

  • Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the clinical and operational oversight of the Emergency Department
  • Mentor and support a high-performing nursing team
  • Oversee staffing, budgeting, and departmental operations
  • Ensure quality, regulatory compliance, and patient safety
  • Partner with physicians and leadership to enhance patient care and department performance
  • Qualifications

  • BSN, or an equivalent combination of education and experience with a BSN currently in progress
  • Current Registered Nurse license
  • 3+ years of recent hospital nursing experience
  • 3+ years of supervisory or management experience
  • Emergency Department experience preferred; ICU/Critical Care experience welcomed
  • Critical Access Hospital or rural healthcare experience strongly preferred
  • TNCC certification preferred
  • Ideal Candidate
