Emergency Department Manager

A growing Critical Access Hospital is seeking an experienced ED Manager to lead a collaborative nursing team and oversee the daily operations of a busy Emergency Department. This role offers the opportunity to partner closely with nursing and executive leadership while driving quality patient care, operational excellence, and staff engagement.

Position Highlights

Lead a busy Emergency Department currently expanding its facility

Oversee approximately 40 FTEs, including ED nursing staff, technicians, and House Supervisors

Partner closely with nursing and executive leadership to support operational excellence and quality outcomes

Play a key role in department expansion, process improvement, and future program development

Key Responsibilities

Lead the clinical and operational oversight of the Emergency Department

Mentor and support a high-performing nursing team

Oversee staffing, budgeting, and departmental operations

Ensure quality, regulatory compliance, and patient safety

Partner with physicians and leadership to enhance patient care and department performance

Qualifications

BSN, or an equivalent combination of education and experience with a BSN currently in progress

Current Registered Nurse license

3+ years of recent hospital nursing experience

3+ years of supervisory or management experience

Emergency Department experience preferred; ICU/Critical Care experience welcomed

Critical Access Hospital or rural healthcare experience strongly preferred

TNCC certification preferred
