In this temporary role of 22.5 hours per week, you will promote health and manage care for elderly patients. Responsibilities include educating families, collaborating in interdisciplinary team meetings, and providing mentorship to nursing students. Your leadership will help enhance geriatric rehabilitation outcomes within a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and evaluate nursing care for dementia patients
• Conduct education sessions for families and healthcare providers
• Mentor new staff and nursing students on the unit
• Engage in inter-professional team care planning and discussions
• Ensure adherence to patient safety protocols and policies
Requirements:
• Nursing diploma required;
Baccalaureate preferred
• Active member of the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Proven leadership and effective communication skills
• Strong commitment to ongoing professional growth
• Competence in Electronic Patient Record systems
