Serve as a Nurse Practitioner at Parkdale Queen West Community Health Centre, offering holistic care to diverse populations in mid‑west downtown Toronto. Address significant health disparities and promote wellness.
Your role as a Nurse Practitioner, reporting to the Manager of Clinical and Allied Health, emphasizes caring for priority populations, including LGBTQ individuals and seniors. You will not only provide essential health care but supervise students and collaborate in developing quality service programs within a multi-disciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Offer comprehensive health services to various client populations
• Engage in outreach and clinic service delivery
• Mentor and supervise health care students on practical cases
• Work with cross-disciplinary teams in health care initiatives
• Participate in research and program quality improvement
Requirements:
• RN (EC) registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• 3-5 years of relevant nursing experience
• Knowledge of harm reduction and mental health strategies
• Strong communication skills and comfort with diverse groups
• Compliance with police record checks and vaccination requirements
