Join the Medical Withdrawal Service at CAMH as a part-time Registered Nurse. Support adult clients with substance use and mental health conditions through a commitment to effective care delivery.
This permanent, part-time position involves a 0.3 commitment with 12-hour shifts, including days, nights, and weekends at the Queen Street Site. As a Registered Nurse, you will perform essential assessments, support client recovery using evidence-based practices, and lead as a Charge Nurse on shifts. Your expertise will help clients navigate complex medical and psychological challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and monitor client progress with evidence-based protocols
• Administer medications and perform critical wound care
• Apply motivational interviewing for client goal-setting
• Serve as Charge Nurse after 3:30 PM and on weekends
• Engage in professional development and orientation programs
Requirements:
• Active RN membership with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Current CPR certification (B.C.L.S.)
• Psychiatric nursing experience preferred
• Excellent communication skills for diverse interactions
• Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities
