Emergency Department Registered Nurse Position

Enhance patient outcomes as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department laborate with healthcare teams to provide primary care, assessments, and advocacy.

As a key member reporting to the Patient Care Manager, the Registered Nurse will focus on emergency and trauma patients. Essential duties include assessment, intervention, and patient education, reflecting Sunnybrook's commitment to Person-Focused Care. This role requires strong interpersonal skills and two years of recent emergency experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and intervene for emergency trauma patients

• Educate patients and families on care strategies

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams

• Advocate for the needs of patients and families

• Support quality improvement and organizational initiatives

Requirements:

• Current registration with the Ontario College of Nurses

• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing preferred

• Two years recent Emergency experience required

• Current A.C.L.S. and B.C.L.S. certification

• Commitment to ongoing education in Emergency nursing
