As a Registered Practical Nurse, you will work within an inter-professional team at the Geriatric Admission Unit A, ensuring the highest standards of care.
Your role involves assessing, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans while offering support to students and contributing to program development. This position requires 12-hour shift rotations and includes weekend work.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate on interdisciplinary care plans and assessments
• Provide education and supervision to nursing students
• Conduct behavioral observations and mental status assessments
• Maintain clinical documentation and team communications
• Ensure care aligns with safety and nursing standards
Requirements:
• Registration with College of Nurses of Ontario
• Medication administration certification
• Excellent interpersonal skills for nurse-client relationships
• Strong knowledge of psychiatric nursing principles
• Ability to manage disturbed behavior effectively
