Enhance your nursing career at Casey House by providing compassionate care in supervised consumption services. This part-time, on-site role focuses on HIV care, harm reduction, and emergency response.
Casey House seeks a Registered Nurse for a part-time contract role supporting both supervised consumption services and inpatient care. You will work weekends, from 10 AM to 6 PM, addressing diverse health needs of patients. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure that care is holistic, trauma-informed, and person-centered.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing support for supervised consumption services on weekends
• Perform comprehensive assessments and develop personalized care plans
• Respond to overdoses with emergency interventions and naloxone
• Collaborate with harm reduction teams and interprofessional staff
• Document patient care accurately according to standards
Requirements:
• Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Minimum of 2 years general nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Preferred experience in acute care and harm reduction
• Knowledge of overdose prevention and naloxone administration
